| LabVIEW VI |
Size |
When you need: |
How it works: |
| Verify Path Exists |
49.6 KB |
To ensure the folder to which you will log data exists before trying to access it.
|
The VI checks that the specified path exists. If not, a path is created from the root drive.
|
| Delete Folder |
75.3 KB |
To clean out a folder hierarchy full of old data files that have been processed and condensed; To perform garbage collection for unneeded files created while your program runs. |
The VI gets a listing of all files and folders in the specified folder and recursively deletes everything. It provides protection against deleting certain system folders. |
| Close LabVIEW Conditional |
49.7 KB |
To cause LabVIEW to automatically shut itself down when your application is deployed as an executable. |
The VI determines if LabVIEW is running in a run-time or development environment and closes LabVIEW if run-time. |
| Boolean Transition |
27.4 KB |
To sound an alarm when a specific condition is met. |
The VI monitors the state of the input Boolean and allows the user to trigger a programmatic event when the state of the Boolean changes. |
| Interval Timer |
31.7 KB |
To control the rate at which data is logged to file; To control process timing such as on and off cycle times. |
The VI allows user to specify interval in msec, seconds, minutes, or hours. Meant to run repeatedly, the VI outputs a Boolean that can trigger an event in your program when the specified interval has elapsed. |
| Running Average |
30 KB |
To keep an average of the last several data points. |
The VI keeps an array of input values in memory and provides the average value as an output. |
