WINDSOR, Conn., September 6, 2017 – Bloomy Controls Inc. (Bloomy) successfully achieves ISO 9001:2015 registration after passing an independent external audit by the American Systems Registrar (ASR), an ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) accredited certification service. The audit verified compliance of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) which guides the company's design, manufacture and provision of services for automated test, data acquisition and control systems to the ISO 9001:2015 QMS Standard.
The external audit spanned the company’s three facilities located in Windsor, Conn.; Marlborough, Mass.; and Paramus, N.J. and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to continuous process improvement and its ability to consistently deliver products and services that meet or exceed customer requirements. The company was previously ISO 9001:2008 certified, and had to perform several forward-looking business enhancements in order to adhere to the new 2015 standard.
Steven Hoenig, Bloomy’s quality manager, led the initiative stating “ISO 9001:2015 certification is a critical milestone for Bloomy, demonstrating the total alignment of our business with the new standard.” Steven continues, “Bloomy’s successful transition to the new standard demonstrates both the effectiveness of our quality infrastructure, as well as the total commitment across the organization towards our quality policy and goals. This will surely enable us to continue demonstrating our reputation for quality in the future.”
“Over the years, our quality management system has passed rigorous audits from customers in highly-regulated industries, such as aerospace, electric vehicles, and medical devices,” says Peter Blume, Bloomy’s founder and president. “The ISO 9001:2015 registration will continue to make it easier for customers to partner with Bloomy and receive high-quality automated test, data acquisition and control solutions."
