SquareBattle

Tuesday, September 6, 2016

During NIWeek 2016, Bloomy’s own Ryan Vallieres was unbeatable in the SquareBattle. Hosted by NI Alliance Partner Endigit, this coding competition is developed in LabVIEW and the players create a team of squares to compete against each other in a virtual arena. For the first time on an international level, this cellular automation and object-oriented coding tournament took place on the main stage of the exhibitor hall, and welcomed nine LabVIEW developers and architects to test their skills.

Challengers in this epic battle designed a team of squares that exemplified early aggression and expansion. As the Senior Software Architect of Bloomy, Ryan knows a thing or two about LabVIEW coding. In this completely hands-off challenge, the logic and decision making throughout the tournament had been programmed ahead of time. Ryan’s team of squares had the best decision making wins.

“Ryan Vallieres greatly contributed to the success of the SquareBattle tournament, not only by writing a competitive square that raised the bar on the code quality, but by his excitement for the event,” said Shawn Walpole, Senior Systems Engineer of Endigit. “We were happy that Ryan Vallieres from Bloomy led the way.”

The eight other NIWeek LabVIEW programmers were no match against Ryan’s intensive LabVIEW skills, and he wiped out all competitors in the virtual arena.

Congratulations Ryan!
