Visit Bloomy at booth #2716 to learn about Bloomy’s family of cell simulation instruments and battery management system (BMS) automated test systems that support the full BMS development lifecycle.

  • Flex BMSTM Validation System, a quick-connecting, highly flexible test system for rapid evaluation of centralized, single-board and distributed battery management systems. Utilizing Bloomy's industry-leading battery cell simulators, standard connectors and models that run in real-time, the Flex BMSTM Validation System is used by national and regional safety and standards labs for certifying the BMS for a wide array of e-mobility products and applications. In addition, the Flex BMSTM Validation System is invaluable for electrification OEMs that need to evaluate multiple BMS prototypes using different battery and BMS combinations.
  • The BMS HIL Test System demonstrates a modular and scalable solution for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing of battery management systems (BMS) utilizing best-in-class commercial, off-the-shelf components.  Using a commercial BMS as the representative unit under test, the system utilizes Bloomy’s cell simulation hardware and configurable software architecture to safely and efficiently simulate drive cycles, fault scenarios, cell balancing, thermal runaway, and many other functions. The system provides an intuitive user interface to set the cell model parameters, run automated test scripts, as well as manually control the cells while monitoring the BMS. Some of the modular components include NI PXI instrumentation, VeriStand and TestStand software, VPC mass interconnect, as well as Bloomy’s Battery Simulator 1200, Battery Fault Insertion Unit, and BMS HIL software.

  • The Battery Simulator 1200 is a 12-cell simulator that is a modular building block for many BMS testing systems. Each cell has individually programmable 0-5VDC levels and sinks and sources current under the BMS’s control. Since it is isolated to 1,000 Volts, you can combine multiple 12-cell simulators in series in order to simulate a larger pack. It is a commercial off-the-shelf product that is FCC and CE certified and available for international export.
