Windsor, CT – September 18, 2014 – As part of a milestone NIWeek presence, Bloomy Controls, Inc. rebranded as “Bloomy”, unveiling a new logo, tagline, and heightened focus on products and platforms.  This year, Bloomy was again awarded “Outstanding Technical Resources – Platinum Level” in recognition of its foremost competency with NI LabVIEW and TestStand, in addition to accolades as a finalist for “Regional Partner of the Year – Americas”. Taking home the LUGNut Award for best independent LabVIEW users group, Bloomy is proud to serve as host for the Mass Compilers who meet regularly at our Marlborough, MA facility.

Delivering four technical sessions, Bloomy contributed to the NI community at large with participation in automated test and energy expert forums, as well as presentations of the software development process, and effective use of commercial-off-the-shelf automated test equipment applied to avionics systems integration labs (SIL).

From a lively booth in a highly-visible location on the exhibition floor, Bloomy demonstrated four products with applications in PCBA functional testing, battery simulation, and power monitoring, including the Bloomy Bicycle Demonstration Challenge. This interactive exhibit saw participants test their fortitude in pursuit of pedal-powered glory, exercising the real-time applications of Bloomy EnergyMAXTM power monitoring system through an interactive stationary bicycle. Here, EnergyMAX recorded and displayed the kilowatt power levels generated by riders in real-time, showcasing its power monitoring and analytical capabilities. Bloomy would like to thank all of the fantastic participants at this demo, and congratulate the following winners:

  • Matthew Ferguson – Best Overall – 4.118 kW
  • Austin Bahrenburg – Best NI Participant Overall – 3.957 kW
  • Brian M. Howerton – Raffle Winner – 3.351 kW

Moreover, Bloomy would like to thank everyone that helped make NIWeek 2014 an enormous success, and we look forward to another exciting NIWeek 2015.
