Electronic Assembly Technician - CT

Perform high-quality electro-mechanical manufacturing and assembly of automated test equipment, completing projects on time. Support the company’s mission to provide test and measurement solutions that exemplify the world’s best professional practices, produced by a world-class team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, or wire diagrams
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform point-to-point wiring
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Assembly of test and data acquisition systems, test fixtures, cables, harnesses, and PCB assemblies
  • Logical layout and design of electrical shelfs / panels
  • Provide technical assistance and collaborate with engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve problems before, during and after assembly
  • Modify prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct defects
  • Test completed assemblies to ensure proper operation
  • Obtain and/or maintain the following IPC certifications: J-STD-001 specialist, IPC-A-610 specialist, and IPC-A-620 specialist
  • Follow and maintain company documentation standards
  • Maintain and improve company quality processes
  • Maintain inventory and maintenance of company tools
  • Assure a clean and safe work environment
  • Promote company goals and encourage continuous improvement through participation, teamwork and quality
  • Infrequently travel to company and customer sites primarily within the northeast US

Other duties

  • Assist with shipping and receiving
  • Maintenance of job materials
  • Occasionally assist with other duties such as facility maintenance
