Lead the development and validation of electronic circuits, system solutions and products for emerging and mission-critical test and tooling applications.
Requirements
- BS in electrical engineering, MS a plus
- 10+ years of electrical design, development and test experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Helpful Skills
- Aptitude for analyzing and developing electrical requirements and creating practical conceptual designs in partnership with internal engineering teams and customers
- Experience focused in printed circuit board (PCB) design, build and test
- Experience in EE design tools including Altium and SPICE, or equivalent ECAD
- Experience in hands-on testing of electrical components and systems in accordance with test requirements and/or drawings
- Experience with both low voltage (instrumentation & controls) and high voltage (1000V+) design, including galvanic isolation methods, creepage/clearance evaluation, and high‑voltage safety testing.
- Familiar with design of power supplies , power conversion, and isolation circuits
- DC and AC power electronics design, build and test experience including amplifiers, converters, isolators, conditioners, controllers, distribution, loads and supplies
- Experience designing sources and circuits with bidirectional sink and source current flow
- Familiar with design and implementation solutions for communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, Mil-STD-1553, SPI, I2C, ARINC429, RS-232, RS-485, etc.)
- Skills in using DMM, oscilloscope and logic analyzer for electrical characteristic measurements
- Demonstrated experience in NPI processes, ensuring electrical designs meet manufacturing constraints, driving test and validation readiness, preparing controlled documentation, and facilitating seamless handoff from R&D to production.
- Maintains a strong focus on engineering quality, driving accurate, requirements‑compliant outputs across all phases of design and verification
- Demonstrated ability to work within ISO 9001:2015 or AS9100 quality systems, ensuring electrical designs, test methods, and technical documentation meet controlled process and traceability requirements
- Military and aerospace systems development experience for Army, Navy, DoD and contractors
- Experience with engineering solutions focused in electrification, automotive, robotics and aerospace
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development and validation of EE solutions as needed across company business lines including automated test, customer turnkey, simulation and battery test & simulations
- Apply advanced electrical engineering principles, theories, and concepts to complex electronic test and measurement challenges. Provide hands-on technical leadership in establishing and maintaining company-wide electronic design standards, processes, tools, and templates, as well as mentoring junior electronic design engineers.
- Position as an EE subject matter expert (SME) for company’s Internal Research & Development (IR&D)
- Provide EE expertise and guidance to project teams as needed for design reviews and customer meetings
- Collaborate with CTO and other SMEs for continuous innovation of engineering solutions for test and tooling applications
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including firmware, mechanical and systems engineers
- Work with Quality as an EE SME for continuous improvement
- Contribute thought leadership via developer conferences, blog articles and industry events as needed for advancing company’s engineering solutions
